Russian Market
Phnom Penh to buy souvenirs with a large range of antiques both real and fake. This market became the foreigner’s market during the 1980’s when most of the foreigners in Cambodia were Russians, hence the name ‘Russian Market.’
It is of far less architectural interest than the Central Market but has a larger, more varied selection of souvenirs, curios and silks. Like the Central Market, there are several jewelers and gold-sellers, but it also carries huge selection of curios, silks and carvings, it is one of the best markets in town to buy popular brand named clothing, a selection of music CD’s, DVD’s and computer games can also be found in abundance here.
The Russian Markets are busy and full of life, as well as being able to buy thousands of things you don't really need, and gifts for people who don't really need them but you'll have a marvelous experience just looking around. Just outside of the Russian Markets towards the back is a clump of shops.
